eta Special Projects is thrilled to be the training provider in a joint partnership Learnership being held in Cape Town. This CATHSSETA funded Learnership has 16 learners from AMANDLA EduFootball currently completing the accredited FET Certificate in Sport Administration (NQF Level 4). AMANDLA’ means ‘Power’ in Xhosa and Zulu, two of South Africa’s most widely spoken languages. ‘EduFootball’ describes the fusion of the two main programme themes: education and football. The name ‘AMANDLA EduFootball’ communicates the vehicle to achieve the vision of empowered youth. The aim of all its activities is to tackle social inequality through the innovative fusion of education and football. | |
As we near the end of this learnership, the 16 candidates from AMANDLA are planning, organising and implementing a sporting event of their own in Khayelitsha. This event is to be held on Saturday 23rd August. WATCH THIS SPACE!!
